My visit to Jericho city in the state of Palestine is a side-trip of our Jordan-Israel tour. A one-day visit to the city allowed us to have a glimpse of its wonders – its nature and its friendly people. The city has comparatively hotter temperature than Jerusalem. we left Jerusalem early morning of January 4 and reached Jericho city early noon. I remembered many of us removing our winter jackets as change in the temperature was clearly felt upon reaching the city.Jericho is considered one of the oldest cities in the world, probably the oldest. This city is the lowest place on earth at 1300 feet below the sea level. Situated few kilometers away from Jerusalem, it is one of the most popular destinations in Palestine because this is where you can find the Mount of Temptation.
