Breathtaking Switzerland

I will never forget Switzerland, the first country I visited in the continent of Europe, because the country's landscape, nature and scenery is really breathtaking! When my friend Norie invited me to visit her in  Basel  I did not hesitate to visit her. Having someone to host you in Switzerland is a big help because it is an expensive country. Yes, expensive! The Swiss McDonalds' meal costs higher than the usual McDonald meals in other countries. Old City of Bern Who would have thought these are chocolates? Day 1 : I arrived in Zurich Airport (also known as Kloten Airport) where I was fetched by Norie. We had our dinner at a restaurant in the airport then headed to Basel via SBB train. A day in Colmar and Strasbourg

My visit to Strasbourg and Colmar in France was a side trip of my Switzerland tour. My friend Norie and I took the first trip to Strasbourg by train from Basel SBB station. Since the train will pass by Colmar first, we decided to stop there and explore it for half day.  From Gare De Colmar Railway station, we walked to  Place dela Cathedral , the center of Colmar town. We easily found the  St. Martin Eglise Cathedral,  a Roman Catholic church of Gothic style and one of the main landmarks in Colmar. The old church has an amazing architecture. The church is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops, hotels and the town's colorful houses.  Wandering the streets of this old town and seeing the colorful French villages was one of the best things to do here.
